Spring 2003 Tour of NEWSTECH Recycling
Overview:
"Newstech was incorporated in 1989 to construct and operate a
de-inking pulp mill to supply recyled fibre, primarily for Norske
Canada's mills in Crofton, Port Alberni, Elk Falls, and Powell
River.
The Newstech de-inking plant was commissioned in Novermber 1991.
The original cost of the project was about $90 million. Since then
Newstech has intensively invested in capital improvements to
maintain and enhance its state of the art facility." |
